Our School
Hello and welcome to the Overleigh St. Mary's Primary School website. We are extremely proud of our school and the achievements of all our pupils and hope when you explore our website that you gain some insight into all of our successes.
From the warmth felt with those tentative first steps into our Reception classes all the way through to the confidence with which our children stride out of Year 6, we pride ourselves on ensuring our children are happy, capable and responsible young people who love learning as much as we love teaching them. As a Church of England school we strive to ensure a positive culture underpinned by Christian Values so all children grow socially, spiritually, personally, emotionally and academically.
We are delighted to share our recent Ofsted report from March 2019 where we received the outcome of Good. In addition we would also like to share our SIAMS inspection report from May 2018 where we received an outstanding judgement.

CONSULTATION ON PROPOSED ACADEMY CONVERSION
The school’s governing body has decided that they wish to explore converting to an academy.
We believe that in order for the continued improvement of our school and excellence of provision for our children, we require stronger and more personalised support for areas such as Health & Safety, Finance and Human Resources. This will allow the leadership of the school further capacity to ensure teaching and learning continues to strengthen and is informed by research and innovation and collaboration with other schools. We believe joining Chester Diocesan Academies Trust (CDAT) would provide this.
Please find further information here – Community Academy Consultation letter, Parent Academy Consultation letter, frequently asked questions (FAQs), feedback form and information about CDAT or Academy Conversion Consultation Questions and Answers
